Podere Le Grotte takes its name from the caverns close to Pancole, only 5 kilometers away from San Gimignano, province of Siena, where the Virgin of Pancole it is said to have appeared in 1668.
This farmhouse groups four country apartments only minutes away from historical and charming medieval San Gimignano, yet at Podere Le Grotte you will find peace and quite and amazing views.
Podere Le Grotte’s location is ideal in that is 40 minutes away from the coast, yet also at the heart of wine country, and historical cities. San Gimingano’s famous towers dating back to the 11th and 13th centuries are a view to be seen, not to mention museums, churches and dining at any of the many fantastic wine-bars and restaurants in this medieval town.
Staying at this Tuscan farmhouse you will be only a 10 minute drive away from Siena and 20 minutes away from Florence. Its central location makes it a stepping stone for visiting anywhere in Tuscany, from Montalcino, Montepulciano, to Maremma or Pisa.
Podere Le Grotte is a traditional Tuscan stone farmhouse that has been subdivided into four different country apartments, each of them with air conditioning and central heating. The exterior stones have fossils from the Pleistocene period, an archaeological treat over 4 million years old!

Country apartment Cigliege has a ample and bright living room and dining room adjacent to the kitchen that opens up onto the private deck with barbecue grill set up for outdoor dining.
The apartment has room for 8 people distributed in two bedroom and a loft. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a sofa bed and full bathroom en-suite. The second bedroom with queen size bed and a sofa bed shares the second bathroom with a beautiful wooden loft that transforms into a “mezzanine” bedroom with a double sofa bed.

This is definitely a romantic honeymoon suite. It has a complete Tuscan country feel to it, in only 25 square meters (250 square feet) with a ground floor kitchenette with dining area and bathroom and an open loft upstairs for the double bed. Kitchenette fully furnished with fridge, microware and drip coffee machine. As with every country apartment at Podere Le Grotte, the apartment has its own outdoor area for barbecuing and outdoor dining, air conditioning, central heating and satellite TV.
