Not a standard “agritourismo”, it’s a riding adventure!

Here you will find an equestrian center established around Tuscany’s delights, a beautiful farmhouse, yet fully focused in providing you the vistas and tastes of this unique region mounted atop a well trained horse!
Donatella Zanbon and Sadio Chellini have taken a lifetime love of horses and a beautiful stone villa with its surrounding farmland and converted it into Tuscany’s premier riding academy.
This Riding Academy has been recommended by the international all arround rider Ian Stark on "Horse and Hound" in the year 2000.

The accommodations are well appointed and comfortable, and the environment is tailored so that the guests are poised to interact with their hosts and with the other guests regularly.
Because of the extensive coordination required to prepare the rides, select the proper horses for each guest, and see to the myriad details implicit in a vacation of this type, these week long adventures need to be booked in advance and require an accurate assessment of riding skills and physical characteristics. If you are unsure of your riding skills, it is best to err on the side of modesty, as the horses can more easily adjust to a more experienced rider.
LOCATION AND ACCOMODATIONS
MAIN HOUSE PRICE: 3500 € per week
COUNTRY APARTMENT PRICE: 1000 € per week
PRICE INCLUDES: accommodations, linen and towels, access to riding center.
The main residence, where vacationers stay, is a classic stone farmhouse that has been recently renovated and restored to its original elegance.
Set in rolling hills between ancient farming and hunting estates, it is surrounded by beautiful woods, vineyards, and olive groves protecting its privacy and natural tranquillity.
Despite its seeming isolation, it is only a short 20 minute drive from Siena, and 5 minutes away from the enchanting medieval town of Castelnuovo Berardenga, with its shops and weekly market.
Should you care to explore Tuscany also by car, you can discover tiny walled villages such as San Gusmè, or Montebenichi, only a few minutes away, or delve into the heart of the Chianti Classico by visiting Gaiole, Castellina in Chianti, or Radda.

Guests enjoying the riding vacations stay at the main house, in the tastefully decorated rooms, each with its own bathroom. The riding is treated as an enhancement to the many other diversions one finds in Tuscany, the purpose being to leave you fulfilled, not exhausted!
In addition, there is a small apartment, which used to be the country houses’ hay barn, adjacent to the house, for couples wishing for a more intimate experience. This cosy apartment allows for additional independence while still enjoying the hospitality of your hosts Donatella and Sadio.

Riding Programs
Summers in Tuscany are rather hot, therefore, the best times of the year to ride in Tuscany are spring and fall, namely from April until mid June and from mid September until the end of October. During these months temperatures range between 18 and 30 degrees Celsius (65 to 86 Fahrenheit)
During Spring Tuscany blooms in an explosion of colour while the an enormous amount of colourful and unique birds mate and sing, while in the fall the Chianti becomes alive with the grape harvest and later on the olive harvest, producing two of Tuscany’s elixirs: wine and olive oil.
Thanks to a close network of bridle paths and cart roads, there is a wide variety of rides available enabling the rider to discover the historical, cultural and architectural beauties of the Chianti area, surrounded by nature and far from the noise of highway roads. Excursions are always accompanied by a licensed guide.
Riding in the clean Tuscan air through Chianti will bring you in touch with a the sounds of nature and a unique palette of colours that will take your breath away.
