Villa I Lecci is set on a cliff overlooking the Cala Grande from Monte Argentario, in Tuscany. The promontory of Monte Argentario looks like the island it once was. Today, the island is connected to the mainland by the centuries of sand drifts that silted the channel centuries ago.
Crossing from the main land into Monte Argentario one first reaches Porto Santo Stefano, a very attractive and lively harbour and yachting marina, with seashore excellent restaurants, shops and an active nightlife. From here once can take ferries, and cruises to Giglio Island, Giannutri, Monte Cristo and Elba Island to name just a few alternatives.
When spending a vacation at Villa I Lecci in Monte Argentario, you will feel the luxury of complete privacy, gorgeous view so the sea, a 10 minute walk from the beach and short car drives to Porto Ercole, Feniglia, or discover the local markets at Santo Stefano (Tuesday market day) or Orbetello (Saturday market day).
This gorgeous villa is set on the cliff, where the manicured gardens are a series of three terraces down from the house with a swimming pool on the third terrace down. The land surrounding the gardens is wooded with ilex or lecci and oak trees. All windows overlook Cala Grande, the biggest bay on the island with a stone beach, only a 10 minute walk down the house’s lane and down through the wooded area.
This luxury villa has 6 bedrooms that sleep 2 people, two of them with queen size beds, and one single bedroom plus 4 bathrooms. The enchanting large sitting room with terraces on two sides overlooks the ocean and opens up onto a large kitchen and breakfast room. The living room opens up onto the terraces where there is a pergola by the barbecue area which is right by the kitchen door. The breathtaking feature of this house is its elegant simplicity and extremely practical layout, ample rooms, full of light with bay views all around.
The three upstairs bedrooms all have balconies with sea views while the four downstairs bedrooms’ windows overlook the terraces with a table tennis and the Cala Grande bay. The house’s layout is ideal in case you care to bring along an au-pair, as the fourth room downstairs has single twin size bed and is located at the end of the corridor.
Villa I Lecci is a 10 minute drive from Porto Santo Stefano, right off the Panoramica road. This villa is ideal for three families that want to vacation together. It provides private spaces while the common areas are open, roomy and merge with the amazing panorama that is all around you.
