Check Availability NOW! Case del Borgo is located in the small Chianti hamlet of Duddova overlooking the scenic Ambra Valley. It is only 25 minutes from Siena, 30 minutes from Arezzo and 45 minutes from Florence. The small "borgo" (medieval village) of Duddova dates back to the early thirteenth century and before that was a fortified outpost used by the Roman legions against the barbarian invaders. Le Case del Borgo are located just outside the walls, where for centuries they served as the nexus of Tuscan peasant life. Tastefully restored respecting the original architecture, the ground floors have spectacular stone arches and brick vaulted ceilings, while the upper stories are crowned with steep terra cotta roofs supported by massive chestnut beams. The houses are enveloped in an ancient olive grove, with a stone path or Vita Parcours for strolling the property.
At Le Case del Borgo you can choose from 14 distinct farmhouses, apartments or suites, each featuring a unique yet elegant interior. The seven farmhouses offer independent accommodations while the two larger semi-detached farmhouses have been divided into 7 apartments or luxury suites. Each suite has been decorated with exquisite taste and attention to detail. No comfort has been overlooked, and the result is an effortless, comfortable charm. Each room showcases a different treasure; antique reproductions, handcrafted frames or Terazani bedside lamps accompanied by captivating visions of Tuscan rural life and landscapes by local photographer Jim Andrews. In the center of the property we have created an in house experience with Tuscan art and artifacts, a wine bar and restaurant, and the wellness center and spa. At the VINARIUM wine bar and restaurant you can taste a selection of fine Italian and international wines by the glass while sampling classic Tuscan snacks throughout the day. Cooking classes will also be offered in this area by a group of local chefs. The VINUM VITAE SPA ZONE is the "stress release point" of the property. The special lighting enhances the rich tones of wood and natural stone surfaces. Subtle aromas invite leisurely contemplation while multilingual therapists provide guests with specially designed treatments using natural products based on wine and grapevine ingredients.
