This alpine looking Tuscany villa is located in Reusa, a small village in the County of Lunigiana, in northern Tuscany almost bordering Liguria, with Pisa and Genova airports approximately one hour away. This area is a quiet corner of Tuscany where traditions are strong and hospitality generous while time has its own relaxed pace. The Apuan and Apenine mountain ranges encompass the region against which magical Tuscan castle ruins and medieval hamlets can be discovered sometimes restored and others in romantic ruins.
Cultural centres such as Parma and Lucca are in easy reach. Florence is only 90 minutes away by car while Pisa and Lucca less than one hour drive away. You will certainly need to
rent a car
in order to discover all of the magic of this area, such as the
Apuane Alps Park
or other beautiful parts of Italy such as Liguria. This villa allows for a unique Tuscan experience, in that it merges almost a swiss alpine atmosphere and the opportunity to be only one step away from anywhere in Tuscany such as the Ligurian coast very close in distance but a world apart in mind.
A short drive takes you to the Gulf of the Poets where you can wander the bustling, old streets of La Spezia with its cosmopolitan atmosphere, enjoy a drink in its many bars and of course explore the shops and the markets. Only a short drive away, you may chose to delve in nature by discovering the Apuane Alpare, famous for the variety of their landscape and environment where the ancient presence of human settlements has left important historical and cultural evidence known all over the world for the beauty of their precious marbles.
Even though you will be able to sunbathe by the pool at the villa in Tuscany and relax in its peace and quiet, you should not let the opportunity go by to visit Le Cinque Terre while staying here. Recognised by Unesco as one of Mankind’s World Heritage, the Cinque Terre are today a National Park and protected Marine Area. Once there, the best way to discover them is by foot, walking paths and centuries’ old flights of steps, which up until not long ago were the only connection between these five villages. The steep terraces sloping down to the sea, supported by dry stone walling, cleverly built without any kind of cement, are cultivated as vineyards that almost touch the waves.
You will have so many amazing places to go that we recommend you do not miss Sarzana, Lunigiana’s most elegant town, sadly missed by many people visiting the area. Sarzana lies slightly inland from the Gulf of the Poets and only 15 minutes from Aulla. You can spend an afternoon walking by an excellent selection of small boutiques, trendy bars and restaurants. Its annual antique market held during August is famous as the streets are filled with stalls selling anything and everything from furniture, arts and crafts and one of a kind choice pieces. Thursdays is market day, so make sure to get there early in order to find a convenient parking space!
This Tuscany villa with pool is set in two levels with an outdoor area featuring a garden, patio, pool and barbeque grill.
The ground floor has an entrance hallway that leads you to the second floor and to the kitchen, dining room and living room. Warm and cosy in winter ideal for friends or families that want to enjoy skiing, biking, hiking, or just relaxing and living Italy’s culture; this villa reflects rustic Tuscany at heart.
The ground floor is ample full with open spaces that flow into each other. The outside views of evergreens and snowed marbled alpine peaks are conducive to restorative dreamy afternoons by the fireplace in winter, and to healthy oxygenating hikes when seeking some invigorating exercise through peaceful nature.
The second floor has a master bedroom with a queen size bed, a second bedroom with a queen size bed, a loft children’s room with two twin size beds and a small bedroom with one twin size bed. There is a main bathroom upstairs with bathtub and a ample bathroom with shower downstairs.
