Villa Lucia is located in Tontenano, close to San Leolino, county of Bucine, province of Arezzo. You can literally walk the 500 meters or so (1500 feet) to the old medieval castle of San Leolino, that is partially in ruins yet still preserves its ancient fort walls where some houses have been rebuilt. The church was built in the year 1000 and buildings have been added around it through medieval times dating to the XVI century.

Villa Lucia has a perfect location, at the heart of the county of Bucine, which borders in the South-East with the Chianti Classico region. The city of Bucine has ancient origins dating back to the XI century and is only a 10 minutes drive to the main highway A1.

This farmhouse is at an ideal distance from all historical cities, thus allowing you to take daily excursions to cities such as Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pisa just to name a few.

Bucine, conveniently minutes away, is a busy town where during market days on Wednesdays you might find all kind of treasures. During summer evenings, the Theatre of Bucine , completely refurbished in 2003, organizes open air performances.

Villa Lucia is an ancient keep, transformed into farmhouse through the centuries, and brought back to life a few years ago by its owners, in splendid style, good taste and utmost comfort. The estate has a main villa that sleeps 7 + 1 and an annex that sleeps 4 + 1.

The annex is a small villa in and of itself, with a spacious and luminous living area that opens up onto the back yard. The ground floor has also one bedroom with two twin beds that can become a double bed and a full bathroom. The main villa entrance opens onto a distribution hallway that leads to the living room, dining room, kitchen and the stairs that lead to the first floor.
